| Welcome to the Primedia Editors Charity
Challenge presented by eBay Motors!
Imagine being given a chunk of money-enough to walk into a dealership
and buy a new car of your choice-and the freedom to bid on any vehicle
listed on the eBay Motors Web site. Ten Primedia editorial teams
have been granted the ultimate car lover's wish: to build a competition
car with somebody else's money. Welcome to the Editor's Charity
Challenge, which will allow each team to design and build their
car using specific products and parts purchased through eBay Motors.
These teams will buy parts for their motorcycles, cars and trucks,
and will come away with a finished vehicle ready for the track,
where these very same teams will go head-to-head with each other
for the illustrious reputation of all-around great magazine. And
the competitors include a lineup of amazing publications: Hot Rod,
Motor Trend, Truckin', ImportTuner, Chevy High Performance, Fast
Fords, european car, Dirt Rider and Hot Bike are just a few. After
the buildup, track tests and a few online polls, these vehicles
will be sold through eBay Motors, the world's largest online automotive
marketplace. The best part about this editorial dream project? The
entire collection of proceeds from the auctions will be donated
to Charity Cars, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping
those who help others. So stay tuned for all of the updates and
exciting steps as we follow these teams to the finish line.
