Bow Tie Bad Boys - 1972 Chevy Nova SS During the Build - Phase Two We're just counting the days. Earlier this month we decided to build a new engine for the Nova, so we purchased all of the parts on eBay. This week we finished putting the new engine together, installed it, and added a new Be Cool radiator. We plan to have it on the road early next week and look forward to our upcoming track day. Check out the photos to see what we mean.
Our eBay Nova is just days away from our track day at the California Speedway. Just last week we completed the install of our newly assembled 383ci small-block at Johns Customz in Torrance, California with parts purchased off of eBay. After we had the new motor in and running we still wanted it to run at a lower temperature so we searched the eBay listings again until we found a Be Cool radiator kit with twin Spal fans and a shroud. Once we had the radiator in and installed, we fired up the small-block and achieved an almost too cold 175-degree operating temperature. We'll next add a higher thermostat to gain a little Fahrenheit, but for now we're in great shape. For the next few days we'll be driving the car around the streets of L.A. to get used to the Nova's new performance personality, while anticipating full-throttle testing blasts next week. |
